NISMCAA 10th Edition: 2027 — Get Ready!

The countdown has started! The National Inter-School Music Competition and Academic Award (NISMCAA) is happy to announce that its 10th Edition is coming. 2027 — Get ready!

Since 2009, when NISMCAA began here in Lagos, schools have come together through original music, live performance and academic recognition. Our mission has stayed the same all through: to enhance academic excellence using music as a tool. Reaching a 10th Edition is a big milestone, and we want to celebrate it with schools, teachers, parents and students who have walked this journey with us.

What to expect

• School music competition for a school group category and an individual student category, with original music performed live by pupils.
• Academic awards recognising students in Mathematics, English, Music, and Science and Technology, with entry for academic nominations free of charge.
• Inclusion of children with special needs in both music participation and academic recognition.

Details still to come

The venue, theme and entry deadlines will be announced soon. Please watch this News page and our social media for updates. We will only share the venue once the booking is fully confirmed.
