Music competition
What is the performance limit?
School group presentations must fit within 10 minutes, with no more than 30 students in total on stage, including singers, instrumentalists, and dancers. Qualifying music videos must not exceed 10 minutes.
How do themes work?
School groups receive a qualifying-round challenge from NISMCAA. After jury vetting, the selected finalist schools receive the official annual program theme and compose an original song for the finals.
Can schools use loops, backing tracks, or covers?
School groups must perform original student work with live singing and instrumentation. Loops, prerecorded beats, backing tracks, and external performance aids are prohibited. Individual students may perform covers under their own copyright responsibility; originality is encouraged.
Does eligibility guarantee a final-stage place?
No. The Secretariat checks eligibility and jury results, then confirms the 8–10 schools selected for the finals.
Academic awards and voting
Which student subjects are available?
Mathematics, Music, Science & Technology, and English. Best Teacher by subject and Best School nominations are also available. Submit a separate nomination for each subject or award category.
Do academic nominees need a song or theme?
No. Academic nominations are assessed using achievement and evidence. The annual music theme and stage performance rules do not apply to academic nominations.
What evidence should a school provide?
Explain the achievement, when it happened and the nominee’s own contribution. Prepare verifiable work samples, projects, results, certificates or teacher endorsements. Keep confidential records out of public profiles and email.
Does public voting choose the academic winner?
Audience votes count toward a share of the result. The judges' decision is final. It can be reviewed only by the Review Committee, and only in the case of irregularities. Administrator approval allows a student profile to become public and receive votes; it does not award a prize or replace verification.
How many votes can I cast?
New voting is unavailable on the public website. Previously approved profiles and published results remain available to read. Audience totals do not replace jury assessment.
Uploads, permissions, and support
Which files can I upload?
Music performance videos must not exceed 10 minutes; audio, images and PDFs do not replace the required performance video.
Who accepts the terms?
An authorized school representative reviews the terms, obtains the required permissions and records agreement in your country's portal at launch.
Are student records public?
School submissions and supporting records are available to authorized reviewers. Approved academic profiles publish only their permitted name, school, subject, achievement summary, and vote total. Do not include personal contacts, home addresses, dates of birth, or confidential records in a public profile.
What happens if cheating is discovered?
The terms provide an integrity review procedure. An affected school or participant is informed of allegations and has an opportunity to respond. Substantiated breaches may result in disqualification or amended results. The official complaint channel and deadline will be announced.
Can I volunteer?
